This program will emphasize collaboration between participating educators and Creative Reuse Education staff to find authentic and meaningful ways of integrating interdisciplinary environmental, maker, STEAM, and art-focused learning experiences into the participants’ existing curriculum/programs.
Though not required, applicants are encouraged to apply as interdisciplinary pairs with the goal of having two educators from different disciplines working together on a common curricular initiative. Even if applying as a pair, each individual educator must complete the application.
We’d love if you’d share this opportunity with the people in your education-related networks! If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Rogers at firstname.lastname@example.org.

QUOTES FROM PARTICIPANTS OF OUR 2018 PROGRAM
“My students look at all trash as potential treasure now… and have been really inspired by unusual materials.”
“I’m really grateful for this opportunity and would be interested in other education opportunities through PCCR. I feel like this is such an important mission to have and to ingrain into people’s minds very young. I don’t know what impact this will have on these children as they grow but my hope is that by being at ease with reusable materials while they are young it will translate into livelong consideration and conservation. I appreciate the support from PCCR and all of it’s amazing staff!”
“… I found the program enjoyable, informative and valuable. I now have not only some ideas for lessons in my classroom, I have a new philosophy behind my teaching. I really want to instill the mindset of how our actions matter and how we can make a difference by choosing to reuse, not waste and be creative! Not just in art class but in life. Thank you for providing these resources and training to me. It was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to using them in my classroom and working more with the Center for Creative Reuse!”
