How to Donate Your Great Stuff to Creative Reuse

Staff member at the donation desk

Your donations make this whole Creative Reuse world go ’round.

Step 1: Learn what we accept ...

Thank you for choosing reuse! If this is your first time donating to us, please check out the three links below. If you’ve donated before, thanks for coming back and please check our current list of items we temporarily cannot accept (center link below). Once you’ve reviewed what we can accept, go to Step 2 below.

General donation policies

      • Our preferred times for accepting donations are between 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
      • Donated items should be “shop ready”  – clean, usable, and ready to be sold.
      • Please note: we will take a look through your items and hand back anything we cannot accept.
      • Donated materials must be securely boxed and covered (except large items).
      • Please do not leave donations outside our door. Unfortunately, any materials left outside must be thrown away.

Step 2: Determine how much you have to donate?

Have 1 box* or less?

Standard copier paper boxes

More than 1 box*?

*What we mean when we say box: a box about the same size as a standard-sized copy paper box measuring 12″ x 10″ x 15″.

Step 3: What type of donation are you making?

Personal

These would be materials from your/their home.

These items include: samples of carpet, floor, wallpaper, fabric, laminate, countertop, etc.

Business or Nonprofit

These items include: office supplies, branded swag, studio equipment, tools, surplus, etc.

More than 1 box = Scheduled Donation Appointment

Standard copier paper boxes

Since you have more to donate make a material donation appointment using our donation scheduler. Please note: there’s a two box maximum per appointment and appointments cannot be combined with walk-in donations. You will receive a confirmation email after you make your appointment, as well as a reminder before your appointment.

Having trouble? See Attention Please below.

Attention please
  1. You can schedule your donation appointment for up to 60 days in the future. You won’t see any available slots on the scheduling software after that point, but yes, we absolutely will be taking donations beyond that point! Hang tight! Every day, another day appears on the scheduler, like magic.
  2. Don’t see any available slots within 60 days? We’re sorry! All appointment slots have been filled. Please check back another time, or utilize our walk-in donation option, where you can bring one box of donations per household per day without an appointment.
