We’re happy you’re choosing to reuse! Because we are a small organization (both in staff size and in storage space) we do have some policies that help us divert quality materials from the landfills and into the hands of our community without overwhelming us. Just one box?
We’re happy to accept a single standard-sized box (Approx. 12″ x 10″ x 15″) of donations from you any day of the week between 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM. Please be aware that we cannot accommodate walk-in donations of more than one box. Please do not leave donations outside our door. Unfortunately, any materials left outside must be thrown away.
More than one box?
If you have more than one box of donations, we can easily schedule an appointment with you so we can prepare for your donation. The best way to make an appointment is to fill out the our material donation form listed below at Step 3 or give us a call at 412.473.0100.
How to Donate Your Great Stuff to Creative Reuse
- Clean paper grocery bags with handles for our Bulk Section (such as Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s bags)
- Paper towels for our bathrooms
- Natural liquid soap for our bathrooms
- Toilet paper for our bathrooms
- We always accept monetary donations!
Please note that NONE of these essential items need a donation appointment. You can bring them any time we’re open.
Temporary Holds List
At the moment we cannot accept the following items due to space limitations:
- DVD cases (empty)
- greeting cards
- magazines and craft instruction booklets
This list changes over time as our inventory changes. Please check back for updates.
Due to limited floor space in our shop we ask that you inquire about donating the following items:
- assembled floor looms
- enlargers and large machines
- sewing machines in cabinets
Fill out our online donation form. We will email you back to let you know what we can and cannot take from your list, and we will offer you a few days you could come in with your donation. Please note that filling out the form does not automatically schedule a donation appointment – we will need to touch base with you first. (Please check your spam folder, as some of our response emails have recently been ending up there!)
Need to donate your items ASAP? Try our Premium Donation Service! We may be able to take emergency donations with only a few days’ notice. Fees for this service: $50 for up to 4 standard size bankers boxes (12″ x 10″ x 15″), and $100 for up to 8 standard size bankers boxes (12″ x 10″ x 15″). Depending on availability, we may be able to schedule your donation much faster than our standard donation service would allow. Please contact us at email@example.com to discuss your donation.
