Business and Nonprofit donations

Design Sample Donations

If you’re donating design samples please review the list below for the types of materials we can accept.

Architecture and design samples

What we can accept:

  • fabric samples (loose and in books)
  • fabric bolts
  • small samples of laminate, flooring, tile, metal, countertop (6″ x 6″ or smaller)
  • miscellaneous small samples
  • loose carpet squares (size limit: up to and including 24″ x 24″)

What we cannot accept:

  • any samples bigger than 6″ x 6″ (except fabric and carpet samples)
  • binders, books, folders
  • spec sheets, tip sheets, cut sheets
  • any samples that are glued down, laminated, or encased in or on another surface/page/paper/binder
  • full sized bricks
  • vinyl siding of any size  

We strongly encourage contacting manufacturers for recycling of samples and reducing the number of samples your office accepts from all manufacturers.

Now that you’ve identified the materials you have to donate, please follow these steps:

    1. Pack like samples together
    2. Make sure the boxes close and can be stacked
    3. If you have more than one box to donate, please email donations@pccr.org to set up a drop off appointment with our Materials Coordinator. 
    4. Or, if you’d prefer we pick up your donations, check out our Business Pickup Service.
    5. Only have one box or less to donate? We can accept one box per business per day as a walk-in donation during regular shop hours (11 AM – 5 PM daily). No appointment necessary.

Donation Day Instructions

  1. Pull your vehicle up to our front door.
  2. Bring your boxes to the Donation Desk. Carts are available at the front door, or if needed, a staff member can assist you.
  3. We can provide a donation receipt.

Creative Reuse is located at 214 N Lexington St, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 in the same building (but around the corner and through a different door) as Construction Junction. Click maps for directions and parking.
