Internships at Creative Reuse

Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse is a growing 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to inspire creativity, conservation, and community engagement through reuse.

Interns are a vital and valued part of our organization. We have internship opportunities for committed, creative folks who would like to use their skills and energy to help us build a more creative and sustainable Pittsburgh.

Although these volunteer service-learning positions are designed with students in mind, we will gladly consider both credit-seeking and non-student applicants. Each internship is tailored to individual skills and interests to develop projects that will provide meaningful development opportunities for the intern while meeting organizational needs.

Internship Opportunities:

Start dates and schedules are flexible, and applications are accepted throughout the year. Although 120 hours is the standard commitment, we welcome longer internships and may consider shorter ones. Please get in touch with us before applying if you have any questions.

Internships at Creative Reuse are unpaid, but there are great benefits including shop discounts, a friendly and unique learning environment, networking with other reuse enthusiasts, and the opportunity to be part of something magical. We are an equal opportunity workplace; everyone is welcome to apply.

To apply for an internship:

In your cover letter please be sure to tell us which internship(s) you’re interested in, why you’d like to work with us, and how your particular skills, experience, and interests fit with our mission.

If you have never been to Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, we strongly encourage you to visit before you apply. We are open every day from 11 am to 6 pm.
